WALLICE: AN INDIE SENSATION

WALLICE: AN INDIE SENSATION

Wallice is currently an up-and-coming twenty-three-year-old artist with a witty nature and electrifying music. The LA native has grown up listening to pop and alt-rock, which is why even her Indie and alt music centers around similar influences.

Wallice knew that she wanted to be a music artist from a very young age. She has not just had an avid interest in music but also loved to watch movies. She is a big believer in escapism, which is why she finds movies, music, and art to be so important in life.

Later on, the talented artist went to New York to study Jazz. Even though she had always worked and created music within the Indie genre, she wanted to study music through a more complex lens, best done through Jazz. After graduating, she returned to her hometown and began creating and releasing music.

While she did modeling and acting on the side, Wallice left it all behind when she got signed with a leading label, Dirty Hit. This is the same label that has been signed with The 1975 and The Japanese House. Wallice was signed with the Dirty Hit right after the release of her woozy debut 'Off the Rails' in 2021. This EP perfectly depicted her alt-pop sounds with catchy lyrics.

However, the young singer truly got her big break in 2020 after releasing her electrifying indie single 'Punching Bag.' The song blew up on Spotify and amassed millions of streams. She followed this up with yet another hit, '23.' After this, her rise to fame truly escalated. It reached a new level when she signed on with Dirty Hit.

Now, the young rising start focuses solely on her music career. On her recent writing trip to Utah, Wallice got so inspired that she ended up creating her entire new EP within a week. This EP called '90s American Superstar' is based on the life of a fake rock star. She likes her EPs to follow a specific theme to be more uniform. This is precisely what she has done with the newest one.

Wallice loves living in LA, where she was born and bred. She considers herself fortunate enough to have been raised in the Music and Art capital of the country. This is mainly because she easily formed connections with the right people and made friends who shared similar interests and ambitions with her. Being an LA native has also allowed her to stay grounded and not succumb to social pressures that often plague LA newcomers.

Wallice’s future plans include performing more shows. She believes that she will attain ultimate success when she starts headlining venues she once attended as a fan. Her dream is to one day even perform in a stadium. Additionally, she thinks she will have truly succeeded as an artist if she sees people singing along to her music. Her future plans include having not just more live shows but also collaborating with other indie artists.

It’s safe to say, Wallice is one indie artist to watch out for!
