A$AP Rocky premiered "Lab Rat" at Sotheby's in New York City, a performance art piece in which he appeared in a "lab" for nearly two hours, being assisted by workers who treated him as a, as implied, a lab rat. High Snobiety reports that the piece saw Rocky taking on "a series of tasks, including eating hot peppers," as well as talking to the crowd "many things, including loss and the challenge of recording new music." He then unveiled the cover art for his upcoming album Testing and announced that it was ready for release, which he later tweeted.
Earlier this month, Rocky teamed up with Sotheby's for a conversation with artist Ai Weiwei, available now online. "Lab Rat" was live-streamed on YouTube, a version of which can be seen below.
