BABY KEEM SEASON.

Baby Keem is a Las Vegas based American rapper, song writer and producer. His career began back in 2017, but since the year 2019, he has risen to stardom. While being best known for various singles from his second mixtape, “Die for My Bitch” such as ‘Orange Soda’, it was perhaps his tours which brought him the fame he enjoys today.

Hakeem Carter, also known as Baby Keem, was born in Las Vegas Nevada and is just 20 years old. Despite being so young, Baby Keem has managed to hide the tracks of his personal life, successfully keeping it largely private. This changed after Baby Keem did an interview with Complex Magazine in 2019 in which he opened up about his childhood experiences.

In the interview Keem speaks about how his affinity for hip-hop had begun at a young age. By the age of 12, being inspired by Kid Kudi, his favorite rapper of the time, Keem already knew he wanted to be a rapper himself.

In this interview Baby Keem revealed part of the reason behind his success in such a short time. He told Complex Magazine that he did not want to be the best lyricist or anything else out there. He just wanted to be the best rapper, or in his words “the king of flows”. This was the set goal he had in mind since the age of 12.

Keem was always supported in his ambitions at home. He told Complex Magazine that he would come home from school and practice making beats and writing lyrics. His first mic was gifted to him at the age of 8, by Keem’s grandmother who had raised him.

A decade later, under the name of Hakeem Carter, he put out his first EP. A self-released production by the name of ‘Midnight’, which he uploaded on SoundCloud. At the same time, Carter began to create an active presence on twitter, and networked with producers and labels.

It wasn’t long that Keem’s new EP started to catch the attention of various producers. However, other than his musical talent, Baby Keem’s quick rise to stardom can easily be credited to his confidence and charisma. Having no qualms about reaching out to big names, like Cardo, to sign his record, he managed to impress through his confident character.

Before working with Cardo however, Keem released another self-produced EP, titled ‘Hearts and Darts”, which contains the single titled ‘Baby Keem’. Since then, Baby Keem has worked with multiple different people in different studios. This includes his recent work with Kendall Jenner, Jay Rock and even Kendrick Lamar.

In March of 2021, he released his latest single titled “No Sense” after which he announced a second release, titled “Durag Activity” with Travis Scott due on April 30th. All this to relieve the anticipation of his next release, due later this year, titled “Melodic Blue” Hopefully this is only the very beginning for Baby Keem’s fruitful music career.
