PINK SIIFU: IMPOSSIBLE TO PREDICT

Well-known and loved for his unique ability to shift between different styles of music with a smooth transition, Alabama's Pink Siifu got his big break in the underground music scene in 2010.

Pink Siifu was born in Alabama but soon moved to Cincinnati, where he was raised in a household that encouraged him to pursue his talents in music. He got his initial start in music while being a drummer in his high school band and gradually developed a deep admiration for hip hop. Pink Siifu chose to drop out of college and focused his energy on pursuing a career in rap. He started performing as Liv Martez and collaborated with local talents like Anwalk and Young Deuce.

A few years later, Pink Siifu moved to LA to continue his hip-hop and rap journey. He started smartly developing connections in Los Angeles and formed early associations with Sudan Moon and Conehead. This was when he started expressing his dual personae, using production and vocalist monikers to build a substantial music catalog for himself.

In 2014, he released seven short albums, all well received. He continued on this trajectory, producing five more projects in 2015 and another ten in 2016. These rapid-fire project releases gave Pink Siifu the perfect opportunity to showcase the wide range of talent he possessed. These projects embody his versatility as he seamlessly moves from Zen music to some splicing jazz to experimental rap, only to swerve back to post-dubstep.

Of all these music projects, the most notable was Space Ghetto, released in 2016. This was supposed to be Pink Siifu's debut album, being a 24-track mixtape that features his music prowess in all of its glory. The album has everything mixed in various vocal tunes and styles.

Pink Siifu continued producing music with the same energy till 2018. While working on a fantastic collection of genre-mixing albums, he also released his debut album, Ensley. This combined his work with Ensley's differing palette of vocal textures to create an enigmatic album that landed Pink Siifu his first taste of success in the indie world.

Pink Siifu is also an enthusiastic dancer. Before he started putting all of his focus on his music, Pink Siifu used to hold dance battles with people at parties. He was known for his ability to pop-lock and krump to perfection. This is also apparent in his music, as his albums all prioritize movement and have a groovy feel.

He continues to put his own kinetic energy above all else, refusing to comply with any rules of music or genre. Instead, he is focused on occupying various styles, playing around with them, and tilting them to create his own unique brand of music. His latest album, called GUMBO'! has seen much success for this reason, as he shows off his unique sound and pays homage to the artists who helped him shape his musical presence.
